Paul Sperry was inspired to develop the world famous Sperry Top-Sider shoes after watching his dog walk across ice without loosing control or slipping, after closer inspection Paul Sperry noticed that his dogs paws had hundreds of cuts and grooves in many different directions which ultimately meant the dog could walk on ice without loosing traction. After this great find Mr Sperry went on to create the famous Razor-Siping.
