The music industry is booming this month, with classic artists bringing out a variety of new songs just in time for the last stretch of summer. So what tunes do you need to be adding to your playlist?
Wall Of Glass – Liam Gallagher
Famous for leading bands Oasis and Beady Eye, Liam Gallagher made his debut as a solo artist at the memorable One Love Manchester Concert, which was in honour of the victims of the Manchester bombings on May 22nd. With 11 million people watching, he walked on stage and began singing ‘Wall Of Glass’ the first song to be released from his album ‘As You Were’. With a strong drum beat mixed in with a harmonious harmonica, this comeback is a perfect mix of a new lease for Gallagher, with some Oasis seasoning sprinkled on top.
The Way You Used To Do – Queens Of The Stone Age
Formed back in 1996, this all American rock band have just released their latest album ‘Villians’, with the song ‘The Way You Used To Do’ being the first to be released, and is already proving to be a great hit. Sticking to their heavy rock music vibe, when asked about their recent album lead singer Homme said ‘the title ‘Villians’ isn’t a political statement. It has nothing to do with Trump or any of that shit. It’s simply 1, a word that looks fantastic and 2, a comment on the three versions of every scenario, yours, mine, and what actually happened’.
Signs Of Life – Arcade Fire
Sticking to their Indie roots, this Canadian rock band, made up of family and friends, debuted their latest single ‘Signs Of Life’ upon their Uk return in Scunthorpe. This song is part of their most recent album ‘Everything Now’, with glimpses of the performance starting to make its way around social media.
