This past week saw the famous Golden Globe Awards take place. Many of the world best actors and actresses made their way down the illusive red carpet for the ceremony in hope of claiming one of the many awards on offer.
As a lot of people had anticipated, 12 Years a Slave was a winner on the night. They did only win 1 of the 7 awards they were nominated for, but it was for Best Motion Picture (drama) which is arguably the biggest award on the night. Breaking Bad was also another big winner, taking the prize for Best TV series beating off the likes of Downtown Abbey and House of Cards. Bryan Cranston, who plays the lead role of Walter White in Breaking Bad, also won the Best Actor in a TV Series category after being nominated for the award every year since 2011. Other winners included Leonardo Di Caprio (Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy) for his star role in Wolf of Wall Street, as well as Cate Blanchett (Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama) for her part in Blue Jasmine.
