The history of 47 Brand can be traced back to, well 1947 when two 12 year old brothers moved to Boston from Italy. It’s the American Dream in real life – they started out as street hustlers selling newspapers and flowers which led to them discovering Fenway Park plus the passion of the Red Sox fans. Seeing an opportunity they designed pennants out of felt, that were wildly successful leading to the Sox fans demanding more.
They’ve come a long way since then, blossoming into one of the most trusted licensed sports merchandise the world over. Now they create premium headwear/apparel for Major League Baseball, NBA, NHL – essentially you can find them in most sports stadiums, team stores and college bookstores. Down the years, despite a name change and the brother’s company growing massively, they have always maintained the foundation that they grew from. In recent years they’ve launched two lines, Twins ’47/Banner ’47, which connects to their past as well as symbolising their commitment to the fans of the brand. After all, it’s thanks to them for the brand’s existence and continued success.
